Continuing Competence Program

WANTED: CRPNBC Practicing Members in good standing to volunteer as competency reviewers

Who are we looking for?

  • RPNs who have been practicing for at least two years
  • RPNs from all over the province and from all areas of practice

What can volunteers expect?

  • You will participate in a focused training session
  • You will work in (assigned) pairs to review continuing competency forms that will be submitted as part of the 2010 registration requirement.
  • You will receive an honorarium for volunteering 3-5 hours of your time in March/April of 2010

Continuing Competency Practice Reviews are required of RPNs pursuant to the Health Professions Act. Your willingness to participate as a reviewer is a valuable contribution to this process!!

This section of the CRPNBC website will be posting information in regard to the Continuing Competence Program for RPNs. The program commences with the 2010 registration year. Please check back here frequently as the CRPNBC Quality Assurance Committee will be developing materials to help you through the Continuing Competence Process and will post them on this page. There will also be an email address for members to ask specific questions about the Continuing Competence Program, which have not already been addressed in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document. To begin with, we are posting the FAQ and four sample learning plans which were displayed at the 2009 Education Day.
