BC Graduate Applicants

Notice: Scheduled System Closure from August 24 to September 4, 2018

Due to CRPNBC’s transition to the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP), we anticipate our IT systems will be down from close of business on August 24 to September 4, 2018 (subject to unforeseen changes).  New applicants will not be able to submit Initial and First Registration applications during this time.

Any applications started before the closure date but not submitted will be lost and you will need to start again when the BCCNP system is up and running. More information will be posted here as it becomes available. Please contact the College office if you have any questions.

This webpage is a resource for those who have graduated (or are soon to graduate) from a recognized psychiatric nursing education program in BC.

If you completed your psychiatric nursing education:

Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada Examination
If you have graduated from a recognized psychiatric nursing education program in BC, you are eligible to apply to CRPNBC to write the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada Examination (RPNCE).

The application form for the next exam will be posted on the Registration Examination webpage approximately one week after the previous examination (e.g. the application for the May exam will be posted around a week after the January exam has taken place).

Interim registration
When you have completed your program, you may also apply for Interim registration while you are waiting to write the RPNCE. Please see our Interim registration webpage and the ‘Interim Registration’ Registration requirement document for further information.

Practicing or Non-practicing registration
If you are successful in passing RPNCE, you will be eligible to apply for Non-practicing or Practicing registration with CRPNBC.

We recommend you review the Registration Types and Requirements and Registration Requirement documents webpages before applying for any type of registration with CRPNBC.
